Updated and Approved 20/21 School Year Calendar

School Committee approved the updated 20/21 District Calendar on March 30. It is available on the website and the link is below.


1. Wednesday 1/2 days have been eliminated for the remainder of the school year. All Wednesdays will be Full learning days of school for all in-person and remote students.

2. The current last day of school is June 22. It will be a ½ day for students.

3. Juneteenth will be observed on Saturday, June 19, 2021. This is in accordance with Massachusetts Secretary of State Legal Holidays.

Kindergarten Registration Event- May 6/Rain date May 7

Please share this information with anyone you know who has a child eligible to attend kindergarten in the fall. Children who will be five years of age before September 1st will be eligible to enter kindergarten in September.

This outside event has been scheduled for May 6 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. and 1:00-2:30 p.m. Pick a time that works best for you! If the weather does not cooperate, the event will be held the next day, May 7 at the same times.

There will be various tables set up to visit with important information pertaining to enrollment, activities to prepare your child for kindergarten, information about the District's breakfast and lunch program, Pathways for Parents summer activities, and the librarians from the Granville and Southwick Public Library will have information about their summer reading program. The transportation department will also have a bus on site to explore and a game to play! There will be lots of take a-ways for parents and your soon to be kindergarten child!

On Thursday, March 25, first grade teacher, Mrs. Fydenkevez, held a math informational night for families titled, "Let's Change How We Talk About Math!" To get a better understanding of how your child is engaging in math experiences and learning, please take the time to watch the recorded presentation.

Virtual Opportunities and Playgroups for Families

Pathways for Parents has three parent trainings they are offering this month-"Sensory Understanding", "Sleep Training" and "IEP Training". Additionally, they have outdoor groups this month in the towns of Granville and Southwick for families to participate in. There are numerous group activities for littles, preschoolers and school aged kids to participate in. Opportunities are in the link below.
