- Photographer will be here at 10:30 and be around the building taking pictures.
- Black History month is February. If your class/grade level are doing anything, please let Jen Albers know. The district is looking to showcase our activities.
- Friendship Celebration reminder: Teachers should not be sending home lists with student first names for Valentine's Day. Instead, they can let families know how many cards to send in with their child (no names on them). This will prevent any protected information from being shared.
- Mark you calendar - Family/Teacher Conferences - February 27 & 29
- Admin out - Jen is out of the building mid-day Monday through the rest of the week. Pat is out Wednesday and Thursday. Mrs. Gatzmeyer will be the teacher in charge all day on Wednesday and PM on Thursday (she has a sub). Dr. Hamby will also be around to support as needed.
SAEBRS Plan
The window for the SAEBRS screener is set for February 26th - March 14th. Because of some other outside agency coming in around this time, Dressel Counselor's will schedule lessons the week of March 4th. This will be your time to complete your portion of the SAEBRS and for counselors to work with kids in 3-5 on their portion.
The counselor will then begin to look at the data starting March 11th and finish up by the 28th. On our PL day on April 1st, they will schedule a 45 min time with teams to review the data, discuss additional plan, and problem solve with teams.
BA Notes
We recently met with Building Assistants to touch base with needs, supports, etc. They have a few requests that are imperative to help make their systems run more smoothly:
- Be on time: If teachers are even a minute late, there is a domino effect on recess, cafeteria, etc. This is for drop off in the cafeteria and pick up at recess. Indoor recess is even more tight.
- Respect the Work Room: There are many times when the work room tables and other areas are left with a mess. Copies, paper, pens, etc. are left on the tables and they have to come in and clean it up. Additionally, many of their supplies disappear like staplers, pens, tape, etc. They use these items daily to complete jobs for you.

Friendship Day Information- Please send to Families
On February 14th, Dressel will be having classroom Friendship Celebrations. These are not a part of the District's 3 scheduled parties, so they are not open to guardians attending. Here is how you can help with this celebration:
- Students may bring in Valentine's cards. Please have them completed beforehand and you must have one for each student in the classroom
- NO CANDY/FOOD can be attached to the cards. Please limit the trinkets that are attached.
- If you'd like to donate an extra box of cards, please send them to our Dressel Counselors.
- Grade levels may reach out to parents about possible crafts to send in. This will be up to each grade level.
- Teachers will also provide additional information in the coming weeks about further details.
Resiliency
Finding the motivation to keep moving forward can be difficult when life gets challenging. You might feel it’s easier to simply give up when your mind is swirling with negative thoughts. Mental toughness, or resilience, is the ability to accept a situation for what it is and adapt to the circumstances. If you have trouble sleeping, lack confidence or feel anxious, building your resilience will go a long way toward alleviating those difficulties. Check out the following resources to start learning about improving mental toughness.

Communications Department Photo/Video Request
Help Us Share Your Stories with our Lindbergh Community!
The holidays are a time for service projects, success skill celebrations and fun activities. The Communications Department wants to feature your classroom on Lindbergh Schools social media! We are always looking for examples of student learning that show the 4 C's, personalized learning, social-emotional wellbeing, high quality teachers and student satisfaction. If you have a great example to share, please let us know.
This year, we have created a form where you can sign up to have a member of our team attend your classroom or event to take photos or video.
If you know of something photo or story worthy let us know, and we can assign a member to be there. This does not guarantee we can make it, but it puts it on our radar and we can follow up with you!
Thank you,
Spencer, Bailey and Beth
