Character Kids Walking the Wildcat Way with Thankfulness
Our character word for November was thankfulness and appreciation. Each classroom teacher chose a student who exemplifies this trait daily in the classroom. These students were honored in our morning assembly and had a Deutches Heim special treat.
Kindergarten
Keegan Harrison - " Keegan must have been born with a smile on his face. He is always happy to have what he has and do what he's doing. Keegan appreciates what he is given, helps his peers, and is always one of the first to offer what he has to someone without. Way to go Keegan!" ~Mrs. Brodin
Sophie Thomas - ”Sophie is a very sweet girl who is thankful for anything and everything. She
takes nothing for granted.“ ~Mrs. Holtschneider
Joshua Powers- “Josh is a very appreciative student. He is extremely gracious and forgiving of others. If someone gets in line in front of him, he doesn't even bat an eye. He just backs up and makes room for them. Josh is not a student who ever wants to cause problems or confrontation. He is so easy-going and relaxed, while also being thankful for his friends and their relationships.” ~Mrs. Johnson
First Grade
Travis Martin - “Travis is always polite by saying thank you. He even says thank you when I pass out homework. He never takes anything for granted and is always very appreciative of any and everything he gets.” ~ Ms. Brune
Colton Bridges - “Colton is always very kind and helpful wherever he may be in the school. He picks things up even when they aren't his and puts them in the correct spot. He is also the first to help when someone is in need. He is very appreciative of what he has and his class and I are very thankful to spend everyday with him. “ ~Mrs. Flatt
Second Grade
Dawson Arlen - “ Dawson is a very kind student who always wants to do his best. When teachers or classmates offer assistance to help him polish his work and projects, he is always very appreciative and offers his help in return. He has very good manners and always says please and thank you when treats are served in the classroom. Dawson is very gracious and always thanks those who provide for him and show him kindness.“ ~Mrs. Burle
Maggie Barker - “Maggie always says thank you, it doesn't matter what it is I am doing for her or giving her. I may be sharpening her pencils for the day or giving out the daily snack. She has said thank you from the beginning of the school year when things were done for her or given to her. ” ~Mrs. Gilpin
Daylynn Perrey - “Daylynn is always very appreciative to her teachers and classmates. She appreciates being able to come to a new school and learn everyday. She uses her manners and says "thank you" any chance she gets.”
~Mrs. Wolfe
Third Grade
Kara Bulen - “Kara is appreciative of anything given to her in the classroom. She always says "thank you" and is helpful when asked to do something.” ~Mrs. Jurd
Hailey Chapell - “Hailey is a very thankful student. She has excellent manners no matter who she is interacting with. Hailey even thanks me for teaching her. She is a wonderful student.” ~Mrs. Shannon Wolfe
Fourth Grade
Jenna Reed
“Jenna is always caring for others. If someone spills their colored pencils (or anything, for that matter), she is the first one there to help. I can always count on Jenna to be thoughtful and considerate of myself and her classmates by saying, "Please" and "Thank You", as well as lending a hand at any time. Jenna is a great role model for how a person should treat others. ” ~Mrs. Warren
Gracie Schaefer -“Gracie Schaefer is a very kind and thoughtful person. She is always saying please and thank you. Gracie is the type of person who is always the first to help another student. She never likes to see anyone left out. I am thankful that Gracie is in my class.” ~Mrs. Muenks
Fifth Grade
Zach Hatfield - “ Zach is a very thoughtful person and is truly considerate of others. Zach is also polite and is always first with a thank you or a helpful hand.” ~Mrs. Eisterhold
Aileen Blackburn -“Aileen is one of my quieter students, but she shows her thankfulness with her smile and in other ways. She shows her appreciation by being cooperative and pleasant in the classroom and by being a good friend to her classmates. ” ~Mrs. Wagner
