Dear JetStar Students and Families,

It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this farewell letter to you all. As you may already know, I will be leaving my position at Gemini to pursue the role of Bereavement Coordinator with Healthfirst Hospice Bright Star program. It has been an absolute honor and privilege to serve as your school counselor, and I am grateful for the time that I have spent here.

During my time at Gemini, I have witnessed the growth and development of your children, and it has been an incredible experience to watch them blossom into the remarkable young individuals that they are today. I have learned so much from them, and they have taught me more than I ever thought possible.

I am grateful to all of the JetStar school families who have entrusted their children's elementary educational journey to me. Your support, encouragement, and appreciation have been invaluable, and I am deeply touched by your love and kindness.

As I move on to the next chapter in my career, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for making my time here so special. It has been an honor and a privilege to be a part of your lives, and I will always remember the moments we shared together.

I wish you all the very best experiences and learning opportunities at Gemini, and I truly hope that our paths will cross again in the future.

Dear Gemini Families,

Enrollment (registration) has changed for the school year 2023-24. If your child is currently enrolled at Gemini Elementary you can begin the re-enrollment process now. Re-enrollment for returning students will be completed online through Focus. Log onto your Focus parent portal and follow the instructions below to re-enroll your child. Be advised that you will upload any necessary documents, such as proof of residency, directly into Focus. The student enrollment will be completed each year digitally on focus to capture the most up to date information. You will use the parent portal if any changes need to be made throughout the year.

A parent portal account is required to complete the online re-enrollment process. If you need to establish a Focus parent portal account, contact Tiffani Reynolds at 321-727-3090 X45005.

Please take a moment to review our current cell phone or wireless communication device contract. The board policy is also attached for review. Student cell phones will be kept in silent/vibrate mode and placed into the backpacks during the school day, unless used for instructional purposes and approved by the teacher. Smart watches must also be placed in silent/vibrate mode during the school day. Students are not permitted to text on their watches during the school day. Please contact the front office if you need to relay a message to your child.

Over the Spring Break, our amazing PTO had our Basketball Court resealed and striped. Through the continued support of our parents and the hardworking fundraising events that our PTO do, our PTO was able to pay for a makeover of our Basketball Court.

Gemini would like to give a special shout out to Burton Asphalt for coming out during our break and doing such an amazing job.

One week to go until the Pirate Plunder! Come out and support Morning Mile by participating in the Pirate Plunder 2 Miler on Saturday April 1 at 6:30pm. Gemini is in second place currently with two races to go in the series. All participants 14 and under earn points for Team Gemini. Youth registration is $20 with a no shirt/no medal option for only $10. Every race you run will earn credit for 25 laps (straws) and a fun charm for your Morning Mile necklace.
