What are coping skills?
Coping skills are tools or techniques used to manage stress or other difficult emotions. There are different kinds of coping skills, some can be helpful and some can be hurtful. Learning helpful coping skills is beneficial for increasing resilience, confidence and teaches problem-solving skills. Just like any other skills, coping skills are tools we need to practice and figure out what works best for you. It is important to remember that not everyone uses the same tools, so try some of these activities to help you cope with any stress or big emotions your family may be facing.
