HY-VEE RECEIPT CONTEST - RECEIPTS DUE SEPTEMBER 15

Students should turn in receipts to their first hour teacher by September 15. A prize will awarded to the winning class.

CONCESSION COORDINATOR

We are looking for someone to coordinate concessions. Coordinator will set up concession snack boxes and work with volunteer coordinator to help find parents to sell concessions at games.

GIRLS WHO CODE GROUP

A Girls Who Code Group will be starting up at the end of September on Monday's in the IMC with Mrs. Gardner. If your student is interested in joining that group and learning more about computers and coding, please stop by the IMC to pick up a form. All forms need to be returned to Mrs. Gardner by Tuesday, September 19.

LEARNING LAB STARTS SEPTEMBER 11

Learning Lab is an after-school opportunity for students opportunity for students to complete homework or other classroom assignments. Tutoring assistance and access to computers are available during this time. Learning Lab will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3 to 4 pm in the IMC.

MAGAZINE SALES KICKS OFF ON SEPTEMBER 19 - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We will be kicking off magazine sales on September 19. For those new to McKinley magazine sales is our school’s largest fundraiser. All monies go directly to McKinley and are used to support student activities such as field trips. Students will be able to earn prizes based on the number of magazines sold. WASHINGTON PICNIC IN THE PARK

You are all invited to the third annual Washington High School Picnic in the Park on Tuesday, September 12, from 4:00 to 6:30 pm, a Redmond Park. FREE FOOD & BEVERAGES, RAFFLE, GAMES, MUSIC, AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES.

McKinley offers extracurricular activities for all grades. Students should continually check TV monitors and listen to announcements. We will also update the website and include information in the E-newsletters.
