Buffalo Bulletin
December 3 - 7
Teachers make more minute-by-minute decisions than brain surgeons...and that is why you're going home so exhausted each day.

Reminders & News
- Make sure to read The Exchange for district news and information
- Here is the link for the morning announcements, which begin daily at 8:00 a.m.
- Make sure to nominate kids for the P2P Learner Award (2 per teacher per 9 week period)
P2P Awards Celebrations: HERE is the schedule and HERE is the template to prepare your certificates. Mary has spirit sticks in her office. HERE is checklist to keep you on track!
Lexia Core5: Students should begin meeting weekly usage goals this week. Originally we had said 1 hour, but it appears that most students have a goal of 40 minutes.
12 days of Christmas Staff Appreciation Event Calendar (and dress-up days) (early dismissal for Gift of Time is at 1:45)
Personal Business Days: Going forward, personal business business days before holidays will not be granted. This is standard procedure at most schools for good reason - substitutes are increasingly difficult to book especially for these days.
Absence request form: There have been some questions regarding why you get an email from Kelli when you submit an absence request. This happens because Kelli is our best digital guru on leadership so she created the autocrat form to make things easier for Mary to keep up with. It is generated automatically and sent straight to Mary and the person who submitted it.
Math teachers: Please sign up for a hands-on math session for January 7th (see email Meagan sent on Monday 11/26).

Submit your sample by dropping into THIS FOLDER.
Please make sure to include your name in the title.
Information Copied from email sent Monday 11/26
- Required samples have been reduced to ONE per week. Each week in the bulletin I will tell you which type of sample we will be collecting from the week that is ending (average, below average, above average).
- You will submit your one sample by dropping it into THIS FOLDER. I will also link this folder weekly in the bulletin for easy reference.
- Samples are due on or before the end of your PLC day during the following week. So the bulletin will tell you which sample to pick from the week that is ending, and 10 min of your PLC the following week is allocated to submission of that sample.
- You will be given the last 10 minutes of every PLC to go and gather your sample for submission. We hope this helps to preserve your time.
