I hope you had a wonderful week! It was busy here at school. Along with the students and teachers continuing to work hard, the on-site construction began. There are a couple pictures below.
Again, thank you to all of our car rider parents and guardians for your patience and help as we navigate the changes of our arrival and dismissal procedures.

RHE Community and Family Night
On June 18th, 6:30-7:30, family and community members are invited to come and visit RHE one last time before the renovations. Community members will be able to view the school, write a memory on a wall, and say goodbye to RHE as it currently exists.
This is not a drop off event. Students will need to stay with parents and guardians at all times.

Summer Resources for Children
Children need a break in the summer, but it's a great idea to provide opportunities for them to maintain their skills during these months. Below you'll find a list of resources available to students to help them stay sharp in Reading and Math. These are activities that the children may find to be very entertaining. I highly suggest that parents take time to view these and share them with their children.

Bridges in Mathematics Parent Workshop
Starting in September 2019 , Council Rock students in grades kindergarten through five will have a new math program. Bridges in Mathematics is a researched based K-5 mathematics program designed to develop deep understanding of concepts, along with the ability to solve complex problems.
Please join us at one of the following sessions to learn more:
- June 10th 9:30-10:30 at Newtown Elementary
- June 13th 6:30-7:30pm at Holland Middle School
- June 14th 9:30-10:30am at Churchville Elementary
Council Rock Community Aquatics Program
The Council Rock Community Aquatics Program is currently accepting registrations for our summer program. Classes include children’s swimming lessons, summer recreational swimming hours, and a competitive swim training program for swimmers 8th grade and up. Registration is held weekdays from 3-7pm Monday to Friday at the pool lobby area (door 3A) at Council Rock North. No registration will occur on Monday, June 17th due to graduation. Weekday registration begins on Monday, June 24 from 10-2pm Monday to Thursday. Please check our website at www.crsd.org/aquatics and click on summer 2019 to view the brochure and registration form. Summer recreational swimming hours begin on Monday, June 24 from 12:45-2:00 Monday to Thursday until Thursday, July 26. Also, one Friday this year (Friday, June 28). Please check our website at www.crsd.org/aquatics for the full list of Rec Swim dates for the summer.

Box Tops
Crayola ColorCycle Program
All around Rolling Hills, students and teachers will be collecting used markers that are ready to be discarded. Please help support our efforts by sending your kids in with any used markers you may have around the house- even non-Crayola brands! Highlighters and dry erase markers can also be included. Drop-off boxes will be located around the school for your child to deposit the markers.
Ronald McDonald Tab Collection
We will be running the Tab Collection contest until end in June. The winning class will receive a Rita’s and pretzel party.
Champions Kindergarten Enrichment Registration
The Champions Kindergarten Enrichment Enrollment has opened for the 2019-2020 school year, and parents can read more information about the program at the link below. As of now, there are still openings. If you know someone that would be interested, please pass this along! Enrollment is also open for the 2019-2020 Champions Before and After-school program.

Council Rock District Art Show, May 30th-June 1st
2018 CRSD Summer Academic and STEM Academy
The Council Rock School District will be holding summer school, offering a variety of academic programs for students entering grades K-8. Programs run between July 1st and July 25th. Please use the link for registration paperwork and a clear description of all program offerings and dates.
