Weekly Update December 12, 2014

This is my first attempt at creating an online newsletter that includes weekly updated information about Jefferson High School as well as article links to share with staff, patrons, and board.

It is hard to believe the Christmas break is one week away. The time has passed quickly and much has been accomplished with even more to complete in the upcoming months.

This Monday night December 15th, there is a Technology meeting to formulate where we are currently with technology and a plan for JHS in the immediate future as well as years down the road.

Tuesday night December 16th, the JHS Christmas concert will be held in the high school gym. Make plans to attend and support all these fine young musicians.

Winter sports are underway this weekend and include wrestling in Whitehall, basketball in Three Forks, and Speech and Debate in Townsend. Good luck to all competitors.

This past Wednesday and Thursday, students in Ms. Ehret's class painted windows in the Boulder community. It is great to see JHS students providing their talents to local businesses.

Karl Rosston, a suicide prevention specialist, will be at JHS on Tuesday December 16th to meet with faculty, staff, and students. He will be available throughout the day.

This Thursday, there will be a short assembly during 8th period to recognize all Academic All State winners from fall sports, and the student council will be presenting each student with there own JHS water bottle and other prizes. Both are great jestures to recognize the students at JHS.

Have a great weekend, Go Panthers!

I have embedded articles that I have shared with faculty and staff, please feel free to read.
