REALIZING THE DREAM IN SCHOLAR ACHIEVEMENT
Martin Luther King, Jr. once said that he had been to the mountain top and that he had seen the promised land. Today I reflect on what Dr. King may have seen at Kiest Elementary and the impact of his vision to the successes and challenges of our classrooms. As an integral member of the Kiest Family, I know that you are working towards implementing strategies that empower our scholars to take ownership of their learning. Gathering data will keep us on target on what areas we are making progress and what areas need a complete turnaround. I encourage you to reflect on these results, and continue working on building a better future for our scholars.
Key Action 1— Kiest Elementary will increase scholar achievement in Reading, Writing, Math, and Science.
