Gifted/Talented Services Review
Volunteers needed!
Overview
The Fox Point-Bayside School District is seeking volunteers to join the Gifted and Talented Program Review Committee. Committee volunteers should include parents, teachers, students, school administrators, board of education members, and other district residents.
Committee Purpose/Goals
Review existing services (handbook, opportunities, forms, etc.) and determine need to revise, based on National Association for Gifted Children Standards for Gifted and Talented Education and the Wisconsin Department of Public Education recommendations.
Make recommendations to the board of education on adoption of handbook and other recommendations that may come out of the committee.
Committee Obligations
The Committee will meet at least three times throughout the school year. The Committee will provide recommendations to the Board of Education in May.
How Do I Volunteer?
If you are willing and able to participate as a volunteer to this committee, please fill out the below form. Committee volunteers will be solicited through November. At that time, representation will be determined in order to have members from the various stakeholder groups. If there are more volunteers than needed, volunteers will be randomly drawn.
