Let’s CELEBRATE the incredible success and history that was made this past Thursday, Friday and Saturday!! In less than three years, the first of which was cut short, the second of which was sparsely attended and the third of which is not yet over, the JHS Winter Guard has risen and solidified itself as one of the best Winter Guard programs in the COUNTRY! They truly are BIA!! This has been a banner year for our Winter Guard program with both our JV and Varsity being medalist in the TCGC State Championships (JV - Bronze & Varsity - Gold) our Varsity earning the title of Texas State Champion and who just returned from the WGI World Championships where they advanced from Prelims on Thursday, to Semi-Finals on Friday. Then advanced again from Friday into the Finals on Saturday. The Johnson High School Varsity Winter Guard finished inside the top 10 Guards in the COUNTRY with a 6th place in Finals!! This is such an absolutely incredible accomplishment and places Johnson HS firmly on the National Map!! CONGRATULATIONS to this outstanding group of performers!!!
Can you say auditions??? All music has been distributed, and parents, if you have not heard your underclassman practicing, make sure and encourage them to get started immediately as these auditions help establish their band placement for the fall! Don’t let the auditions sneak up on you!! Now, “Go Practice”!
Calling all SLT applicants! Packets go out this week, and we can't wait to see the new group of leaders that will take us into next year!! With so many of our SLTs graduating this spring, it opens the door for a new group of leaders to rise to the top and inspire and encourage our members for next year! If you are interested in being an SLT, make sure you get your packet and complete it for submission!! We are looking forward to seeing these new leaders rise and shine!
Banquet!! Hopefully you purchased your ticket because the first Johnson HS Band Banquet is going to be AWESOME!!! We have had a committee of parents working extremely hard to make this event one that our students never forget!! One major bonus for those attending the banquet: the 2022 - 23 Show Reveal!!! Can’t wait for everyone’s reaction and to feel the excitement for the fall! It’s all happening this week!!!
With the success of this year the excitement for next it really is: A Great Day To Be A Jaguar!

Subscribe to Fly a Flag! Show your National Pride AND support the Johnson High School Band! The Johnson Band Boosters are offering a US Flag Subscription service! For national holidays a 3’ x 5’ flag on a pole will be placed in your front yard. The flags will be installed at least one day before the holiday and will be removed after the holiday (length of display will vary depending on when the holiday occurs). A one-year subscription to the Fly A Flag Program is $52. At this time, this service is only being offered in the Johnson High School attendance zone.
