The Lion's Roar Newsletter

May - Volume 6, Issue 10

Principal Message

It is hard to believe that we are in our last full month of school. Even though this year has been filled with lots of learning and great experiences, we are not done yet!! We have more to learn and many more accomplishments to celebrate, events and activities to look forward to throughout the month of May as we quickly approach the end of the year. Please take a moment to update your calendar with all of our exciting activities including our Third Grade Musical, BOGO Book Fair, Art Show, Field Day, Fifth Grade Graduation, Kindergarten Celebration and much, much more! We have created a document that lists out all these important dates. Please click below the Principal Message to reach this document.

We want to extend a BIG “thank you” to all of our wonderful parents and volunteers for all the support you have provided this year. You have been there for field trips, parties, PTA events, movie nights, fundraisers and so much more. Without you, many of these would not have been possible. We will be celebrating and recognizing all of our volunteers on the morning of May 17th during our Volunteer Social. We hope to see you there!

Our 3-5 students have been working extremely hard on the MAP Test so far. As stated in the last edition of the Lion's Roar, MAP Testing is spread over both April and May. Please do your best to have your students present on testing days with a good night sleep and breakfast. The link from April's Lion's Roar to testing dates is found below.

Final Shopping Days for Year-Need Parent Volunteers!

We are looking for parent volunteers who could help operate the store for May shopping days.

If you are interested in volunteering in the store, please complete the online registration form. All shifts will be two hours long. Feel free to sign up as often as you'd like. All volunteers must have completed a Wentzville School District volunteer background check prior to working the store. Your participation is greatly appreciated.

We will be limiting our volunteers to 4 people for each time slot. These will be selected based on sign up order. We are looking only for people who can positively support our students during their shopping experiences.
