Going on a Nature Hunt, Planting with Greenhouses and Making Dirt :}
In science this week, we discussed the importance of good soil and went on a nature hunt to use our observation skills, planted lima beans in a self-created greenhouse and then made our own "dirt." We used a combination of milk chocolate and dark chocolate pudding for the clay soil mix we have in Virginia, added humus (oreos), and worms (gummies) for aeration. We then read aloud the book Diary of a Worm and wrote a story about what they would do if they were a worm! Science this week was fun and yummy too!
