BURRO BROADCAST
News & Information from the Principal 3/7/2021
In this issue...
I sincerely hope parents take advantage of the time the district builds into the calendar for parents to meet with teachers. Involvement in your child's education is important at all levels. We tend to see a decline in parent participation at Spring conferences and are never sure why this occurs. Second semester of MS & HS is just as important as first semester...it may even be more important! Finishing the school year strong with passing grades sets your child up for success in the future. Parent-teacher conferences are a great time to ask your child's teachers about their strengths, areas of growth, and how you as parents can help support learning at home. Please plan on attending conferences this week!
I also included a reminder about the District Accountability Committee (DAC) in this issue. The DAC is a great way for parents to get involved with the district to understand current issues we face and be a part of the solutions. The Parent Involvement Team (PIT) is also a way for parents to get involved and help improve our schools. The PIT meeting is coming up at the ends of the month. Attendance at these meetings does not need to be a long-term commitment. Parents are welcome to attend as they choose.
Thank you for your continued effort in making this school year a success. We appreciate everyone's willingness to go with the flow this school year and adjust to needs as they arise. I wish everyone a happy spring!
