A SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS goes out to four of our Washington Wolves who won the National K-12 Chess Championship!
Ryan Zhu (Cassels/S), Bobby Qian (Policarpio/E), Raymond Wang (Del Vecchio/L) and Collin Du (Turrone/L) played at the National K-12 Grade Championship last weekend in Florida. They played seven rounds of tournaments in three days. As a team, they defeated 18 teams across the country and brought the Fifth Grade National Team Championship back to our Washington School!
In addition, two players also earned individual medals: Ryan Zhu won the 5th place for individual standing among all the fifth-graders and Bobby Qian won the 8th place.

COVID Update:
Congratulations to all who have received their vaccinations, this is a huge factor in helping us move forward through this pandemic and in keeping school open.
This week our region of NJ switched to an area of high transmission of the virus. This impacts us directly as we now need to ask unvaccinated individuals to quarantine for 14 days if exposed to COVID-19. Please complete the vaccination record form on PowerSchool so we can know your child's vaccination status which will help us determine if your child needs to be quarantined.
Masks are encouraged to be used during outdoor activities that involve sustained close contact with other individuals. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated as we work together to keep our students healthy and safe
Please make sure that the emergency contact listed in PowerSchool is an individual who can easily get to Washington School within 20 minutes of a phone call in the event that your child needs to be picked up and the parents/guardians are unavailable.
Congratulations, Washington!
