Parents' Corner: Jesus Satisfies Sinners
In Philippians 2:6-8 Paul describes the attitude of Jesus in the following manner:
Who, being in the very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be
grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, ... He humbled
Himself and became obedient to death -- even death on a cross.
Here, living among His people, was the almighty Creator and Ruler of the universe. Yet, instead of taking upon Himself rightly deserved exaltation, He willingly took upon Himself the role of a servant. And that role was not one to be taken lightly, because that service would cost Jesus His life. Jesus came to do the hardest job of all -- bear the terrible wrath of God for helpless, condemned sinners!
