Some important updates, a few announcements and a welcome to our new staff members.I will keep it short and sweet so you can enjoy your last week. Whether you are on the ocean, a lake, the mountains, at Marching Band camp or traveling I hope you have had a rejuvenating summer. This year, like every year will have new challenges. Luckily we have the absolute best staff in the world to take these on with a smile.

Covid restrictions and arts education
Good Morning, Donna!
At this time we are not imposing any physical distancing requirements, though creating as much space as possible between students and staff, whenever possible, is a reasonable best practice.
It is important, however, that staff recognize that mask guidance may differ from district to district. Our district position on masking remains that all students and staff will be masked while indoors until further notice. Instrumentalists will play with appropriate masks and bell coverings attached and students will sing indoors with masks on. Please encourage departmental staff to create as much physical space as possible for rehearsals and performances.
This will need to be communicated broadly as a reminder to the FPS community at some point in the very near future along with any other relevant updates. I have added others to this email as we think about our next COVID communication.
Please let me know if additional information or clarification is needed.
Thanks!
Bob
