A note from Mrs. Fadeji...
As a new mom of TWO little ones, the title of this article screamed, "Read me! Read me!" as I recently scrolled past it. The title you ask? Boundaries, Routines, and Early Bedtimes: 13 Habits that Raise Well-Adjusted Kids. Speaking of early bedtimes, just tonight at dinner, I said to my husband, "Can you imagine what evenings are like once you add in homework and after school activities?!" If I'm honest, it's all we can do to stay afloat in the 5 - 7pm window right now at Casa Fadeji. As with all articles, blogs, podcasts, etc., you may not agree with everything you read or hear, but I hope you'll find some real gems in the article mentioned above. For those of you too tired, overwhelmed, indifferent, or maybe even lazy to click, let me highlight the 13 habits the author suggests in an effort to raise well-adjusted kids.
1. Boundaries
2. Routines
3. Early bedtimes
4. Empathy
5. Hugs
6. Playful parents
7. Outdoor time
8. Chores
9. More screen-time limits
10. Experiences, not things
11. Slow moving days
12. Books read to them
13. Music
Do yourselves a favor, read the whole article! My personal favs were #4, #5, #6, #10 and #12. What are yours?
Happy to be back,
Amy

LIABILITY WAIVERS for FIELD DAY!
Very important!
The liability waiver you sign on Aeries will not cover upcoming PTA events. If you do not return a waiver for your child they will not be able to participate in PTA events.
You may not have seen this in the past. Our events have reached a new level of fun, including things like jumpies and obstacle courses. The waiver is being sent home with students and will allow your child to participate in these fun activities. We would never add anything that you haven’t already seen at birthday parties and local fun centers.
If you have specific concerns, please contact us: friendsofpenngrovepta@gmail.com.
Thank you!
