Hades/Pluto

Hades the Greek God
- Hades living Hades house is in the under world. He would sit on a thrown made of ebony and he carried a Scepter. He had a Cerberus that guarded his Domain, the under world. His wife was Persephone, the daughter of Demeter.
- He has an invisible helmet that can turn him invisible.
- Hades got the underworld because after defeating their dad, cronose, the evil titan, they split the earth between the 3 of them.
- Hades and his 2 brothers, Poseidon and Zeus got the over world while Hades got the under world.
- Hades is known as the god of riches because he owns all of earths riches.
Pluto the Roman God
- Pluto and his brothers Zeus and Poseidon defeated their father and the Titans to end their reign, claiming ruler ship over the cosmos. The agreed to split their rule with Zeus becoming god of the skies, Poseidon god of the sea and Hades god of the underworld. There were animal sacrifices that had to be made to him at the Roman Colosseum.
- “Plutonic Theory”, the idea that the earth was formed from the intense heat in the earth.
- The opposing theory of which is the Neptunian Theory which means that the formation of the earth was caused by the agency of water.
- Pluto’s brothers thought that Pluto didn't like to play, but he loved to play with his invisible helmet and his golden chariot.
Hades the Greek God
- His wife was Persephone, Demeter’s only daughter, whom he kidnapped and made his queen.
- He was also called the God of Wealth or “the rich one” because he possessed the precious metals of the earth.
- Hades rarely left the underworld.
- His presence was not welcomed by men or by gods, unless he was going to meetings of the gods of Mount Olympus
- Hades was known for his involvement with Sisyphus, the man condemned to the underworld to forever roll a boulder uphill. According to legend, Hades allowed Sisyphus to return to earth long enough to arrange his own funeral.
Pluto the Roman God
- The chariot used to belong to Helios, but then he retired from being a god and had no longer pulled the sun out because he was the sun god.
- For a long time, Pluto didn't have a wife, but he did have a loved companion who was his three-headed dog, Cerberus.
- His family members would pop in the underworld.
- Sometimes, Pluto would take his dog outside of the underworld and if it was important he would go to meetings of the gods on Mount Olympus, but to Pluto, Home was the under world.
