The Blue Angel Weekly

December 19, 2022

Dear PCA Families,

Thank you to Mrs. Urso for an amazing Christmas program! It was a beautiful evening celebrating the true meaning of Christmas!

On behalf of Mrs. Earp and the entire PCA staff, we wish you all a blessed Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year! See you in 2023!

If you need to reach us over break, I will be checking my email periodically.

Teachers will be checking emails on a limited basis, and you may not receive a reply from them until we return to school on the 3rd. Thank you for understanding, so that they can enjoy uninterrupted time with their families.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow is Ugly Sweater Day for any student who donated an item to the Shoeboxes of Love! Sweaters should be worn OVER uniform shirts. As a reminder, we do have Mass tomorrow, so please be sure sweaters are church appropriate.

Also, tomorrow is Early Staggered Release! (PreK @Noon, K-2 @ 12:40, 3-5 @ 12:50, 6-8 @ 1:00)

There will be no Angels After Hours tomorrow.

Thank you!

Thank you to HSA and everyone who donated to the teachers' luncheon last week! It was delicious! We are so grateful for your generosity!

lost and found

Our lost and found is overflowing with PCA sweatshirts that do not have names on them! If your child is missing a sweatshirt, please have him/her check the lost and found. We have some other additional items in the lost and found as well. See photos below to see if anything looks familiar!

Uniform check for the new year

Parents, please check your children's uniforms before they return in January.

There are many skirts that are much too short! As per the PCA Handbook, skirts should be no shorter than 3 inches from the ground when kneeling.

We are noticing many students in need of a haircut as well. As per the PCA handbook, boys' hair is to be no longer than the top of the collar in the back, not over the ear on sides, and bangs no longer than eyebrows.

Make-up and nail polish are not permitted.

Thank you in advance for reviewing these guidelines! If you are in need of uniforms, our uniform closet is stocked with many gently used options!

If your child tests positive for COVID, please notify me immediately via email (ddossantos@pcapvb.org).

Anyone who tests positive must stay at home for 5 full days before returning to school on Day 6, provided that there has been no fever for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medicines and that other symptoms are improving. (Please note that the first day of symptoms is considered Day 0.)

Siblings of positive cases may continue coming to school as long as they are not exhibiting ANY symptoms. Please use good judgment when sending siblings to school based on the amount of exposure they have had with the positive sibling.
