CONGRATULATIONS!
Congratulations to the following members of the girls track team for their unbelievable performances at the New Jersey meet of Champs this past weekend, Ayo Folawewo was New Jersey State Runner up in the Triple Jump while also placing 8th in state in the 100 Hurdles. Ayo's 2nd place finish established a new school record and was a NJ top 40 all time in the event. Olivia Nickelsen placed 4th in New Jersey in the 400 meter dash and anchored our 8th place 4x4 team. Olivia Takla placed 7thin the 1600 and ran lead off our 4x4. Emma Fortuna capped off her impressive career with her first ever Meet of Champs medal and 60th medal overalls, and freshman Adriana Escaleria came up big as always with an outstanding leg on our 8th place 4x4 team. Congratulations again for bringing home 8 Medals at our biggest meet of the year.
Congratulations to members of the Boys Track Team who competed at the State meet of Champions at New Balance Nationals this past weekend. Senior Captains Diego Rodriquez and Jack Cordiano along with Terry and Rysaun Wilson ran themselves to a 4th place finish in the 4x800 relay at the meet of Champions. Diego and Teddy teamed up with Ryan Dean and Jacob Kiyler to run the Sprint relay at Nationals on Friday. Very proud of you boys,

SPORTS PHYSICALS FOR THE 2022 - 23 SCHOOL YEAR.
Completed packets must be turned into the main office at High School North so they can be verified and sent to our district doctor for approval
Please note: In order to participate in any summer practice or activity, participants must have a valid physical. Delay in completing physicals could affect the ability to participate in the beginning of the fall practices.
BE ADVISED: Due to summer referendum work, all HSN business will be conducted in the Intermediate North Media Center from Tuesday, July 5th through approximately Monday, July 25th.
Attention Seniors! - Graduation Practice and Elementary School Graduation Walk
All graduating seniors will participate in graduation practice on both Wednesday, June 22nd and Thursday, June 23rd. Both days will begin at 7:15am. Any student who is late, will risk having their name pulled from the order and placed at the rear of the procession.
On Wednesday, all graduates will receive their graduation gowns.
On Thursday, all graduates will receive six (6) tickets to the ceremony.
Graduation (June 23rd) will begin at 1:00pm in the RWJ Barnabas Arena. Doors will open at 12:00pm. All must have a ticket to enter the arena. The ceremony will be live streamed in our auditorium. No tickets are required to view the live stream.

We are collecting school issued chromebooks from our seniors during their English classes.
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT RETURN YOUR FUNCTIONAL CHROMEBOOK, CASE, AND CHARGER, YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR DIPLOMA

We will attempt to return every chromebook as quickly as possible. In order to facilitate this process we are going to ask that you review a few of these procedures with your students prior to the return date. I have listed a few important procedures and repair cost information below.
Chromebook Return Procedures:
1. Chromebook should be fully charged (so that we can inspect screens)
2. Cleaned and free of any stickers or graffiti.
3. Carrying Case and Charger must be turned in along with the chromebook

JROTC IS COMING TO HIGH SCHOOL NORTH
The Army Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) Academy is an exciting new program, housed at High School North, BUT is offered to all high school students in the district. The program teaches character education, student achievement, health and wellness, leadership and diversity. It is jointly conducted through a partnership between the U.S. Department of Defense and our school district.
In addition to promoting citizenship, JROTC also prepares students for postsecondary options including college or the workforce. Through cadet-run programs and team competitions, students learn invaluable professional skills like leadership, teamwork, time-management, self-discipline and communication.

If you are taking Advanced Honors Sophomore English 2022-2023 Please join the Google classroom. The code is P3r#fut. There will also be a brief meeting to discuss the Summer Read Assignment right after school on Wednesday June 15th in the Gold Café. Please see Miss Myklebust in C05 for a copy of the handout
Reminder for all students taking AP Language and Composition next year, See Mrs. Snowden in C02 ASAP to pick up your summer assignment.
If you are planning to take Advanced Honors United States History I next year, summer assignments are now available. You can also stop by F103 to pick up the information which will be posted outside the classroom.

Seniors Attending OCC in the Fall
OCC is offering a summer math bootcamp. The 5 week experience runs from June 27 - July 29 and is a self paced, computer based program designed to provide students with the math skills needed to be successful in college - level mathematics.
