Happy Spring Break

Salem Schools Families,


On behalf of Salem Community Schools I want to wish everyone a Happy Spring Break! Our "official" week off will run Monday March 22 through Friday Friday March 26. We will return with in-person instruction on Monday March 29th. Whether you are travelling across the country or having a staycation, I hope Spring Break brings rest, relaxation and many Free Smiles for everyone. Roar Lions!

Senior Softball Commit - Bailey Hypes

Salem High School Senior Bailey Hypes signs her Letter of Intent/Scholarship Offer with Wilmington College Softball. Wilmington College is located in Ohio and is a traditional college softball powerhouse.

Salem CS Safe Rooms - Fine Arts Center - STEAM Center

Progress is under way for two major additions to Salem Community Schools and our entire Community. At Salem MS the FEMA Safe Room/STEAM Center (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) and at Salem HS, FEMA Safe Room/Fine Arts Center are moving along quickly.

We are on track to open both facilities August of 2022. Salem CS will be the ONLY School Corporation in the Mid-West to have Safe Rooms at all grade level buildings! Roar Lions

Salem Mini-Bus Wraps

A group of Salem HS students helped design "new" looks for our Mini-Bus fleet. Be on the look out as our students and student athletes will be traveling all over the state and arriving at all destinations with authority! Roar Lions!

Salem CS - Eddie Gilstrap Motors

Salem Community Schools is proud to announce a new partnership with Eddie Gilstrap Motors of Salem Indiana. Each month we will do a drawing for a free oil change service from Gilstrap Motors. ALL Salem Community School employees will be in the monthly drawing. Our first drawing/winner will take place following Spring Vacation. Winners will be announced on our school website, Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Salem Success Pyramid

Salem Community Schools will focus on the Salem Success Pyramid for the 2020-21 school year. Our goal will be to put every student in the best position possible to achieve success. The foundation of our Pyramid will be an intentional focus on positive school climate and culture building across all of SCS. We will be using the FISH! Philosophy and Invitational Education as we create our Fins UP! Fins Forward! movement.
