Summer is nearly here and so is summer reading. Summer is a time for fun and recreation, but don't forget to read. Not only is reading a great way to spend your extra time, it is an important tool in retaining what you have learned over the last year. It will also give your a head start on your upcoming school year. As an incentive for you to keep reading over the summer we have provided some options. If you return any of the following to Mrs. Dosier or Mrs. Johnson when school resumes you will receive a prize
- Completed local library summer reading packet (Sign up at your local library)
- Other Summer Reading log (Barnes and Noble, Scholastic summer reading, your own log, etc.)

Reading over the summer is important to keep up your skills. Read 15-20 minutes daily to keep your reading muscles working over the summer.

3. Other summer reading log such as your own log (Scholastic Reading Challenge).
