Safety on Campus
Please know that we are continuing to monitor safety issues on campus. Although the Lincoln campus is a very safe place, both physically and emotionally, as you can imagine, there are times when students get into some inappropriate situations. We take every situation seriously, and have a strong network of support for students when things arise. I encourage you to reach out to me directly if you have any questions, or if you hear of any issue that needs to be addressed. I also encourage you to be involved. We have many opportunities for parent volunteers during lunch. We could use support during the Stop, Drop, and Go
Clarification Regarding the InteliSwab Kits with Two Tests in Each
If you received the InterliSwab COVID test kit (two tests in a larger purple box), please be aware that there are a few changes from this manufacturer. According to the packaging, these tests need to be read at 30 minutes (not 15) and, if you are doing weekly asymptomatic surveillance testing, you will need to administer TWO tests – one of Friday or Saturday, and the other 23-48 hours later. The kits, despite having two tests, are designed for one screening and should be completed one kit per week.

Attendance Calls/Llamadas de asistencia
When a student has an unexcused absence (i.e. family trip, personal reasons, birthday celebration, parent request) you will receive the robocall indicating your student is absent even if you reported this. No robocall is received for excused absences (illness, bereavement, doctor’s appointment, religious holidays, or court appointments).
