Change of Clothes Request
Consider adding an extra change of clothing (including underwear) in your dolphin's backpack. We've had some emergencies and bathroom accidents, so having the extra change will save you time and a trip to the school!
Volunteer for Field Day
If you are interested in signing up to volunteer for Field Day on Thursday, June 9th please use the sign up genius link to let Mr. Zhou know where you will be willing to support!
Dolphins as LEADERS: The Leader in ME!
MCPS introduced a new SEL curriculum, Leader In Me (LIM) and it is time for our school community to begin the process of learning how to prepare our students to be LEADERS.
Waters Landing staff, students, and families (that's you!) will complete the MRA Survey each year. During year one, we will complete it twice so we can get baseline data from our school. Read the details about the MRA Survey here. If you have any questions, you may reach out to Ms. Jessee, Waters Landing School Counselor, nichola_r_jessee@mcpsmd.org.
5th Grade Promotion Announcements
- PROMOTION DETAILS: 5th grade parents please be sure you have reviewed the 5th Grade Promotion Letter which was sent home including details. *Remember Friday, June 3rd is the deadline to submit images for the slideshow. We are so excited about the opportunity to return to an in-person celebration for promotion!
- PROMOTION VOLUNTEERS: If you are interested in volunteering to make our 5th grade promotion a success, please contact Ms. Shipyan at kristina_r_parks@mcpdmd.org.
Look for Books
Parents, do you own any gently-used children's books that could use a new home? If so, please consider donating them to the Media Center! Students will then be able to pick out something for free once they have returned all their checked-out materials. And, if there are any books left over, we hope to restart our Little Free Book Cart during the 2022 - 2023 school year!
Slideshow from PTA Tuesday, May 3rd
If you missed the last PTA meeting held on May 3rd, please review the slidedeck which includes information about the new principal, 5th Grade Promotion, School-Wide FIELD DAY, and preparing for next year's officers.
