Leadership Message

Hello St.Patrick School Families,

Advent starts this Sunday. Advent is a four-week period that marks the beginning of the Christmas season. It is a time of spiritual preparation before the celebration of the birth of Christ. The period of Advent involves reflection about what it meant for the world before Christ came and preparing the church and hearts for the true meaning of Christmas.

Throughout Advent we will using adverbs to learn HOW God planned to save all people. We will meet as a school every week for an assembly and continue to learn more about the coming of our promised Savior through this Advent Season. Your child will be coming home with an Adverbs of Advent booklet so as a family you can follow along.

God Bless,

Mrs.Nanias

reporting student illness absentee

As you have no doubt been watching and experiencing, Alberta has been suffering from high rates of RSV, Influenza and COVID-19. We want to thank you for making the right choice to keep your children home when they are experiencing symptoms. In order to help us have the best possible data and communicate with Alberta Health Services if required, we would ask that you report any flu or cold like symptom under the FLU heading in the School Messenger App. Please report absences to the office or through the School Messenger App.

Using Safe Arrival, parents can report:

  • FLU - Illness due to flu and cold like symptoms

Polar Bear Club

We are starting a Polar Bear Club at St. Patrick School. This club will allow students dressed in appropriate winter gear, with parent permission to get outside for first and second recess when the temperature with wind chill dips below -25. We believe that regular opportunities for play and physical activity, especially outdoors, improves mood, attention and fitness. For more information on this club please check the permission form sent home. Only one form per family needs to be returned. LETS EMBRACE OUR COLD ALBERTA DAYS!
