PK 4.3 weekly newsletter
Dear parents,
This week in PK4 we talked about how to make and keep friends. Friendships provide children with more than just fun playmates. They can help children develop emotionally and morally. In interacting with friends, children learn many social skills, such as how to communicate, cooperate, and solve problems. They practice controlling their emotions and responding to the emotions of others.
Our peace day celebration was a success as we talked about what peace means and what we need to make peace. Students enjoyed popcorn during snack time thanks to your generous donations.
Lastly, thank you for coming and exploring the wonders of math in early childhood. We hope you enjoyed the exciting evening of hands on learning activities and games. Every game has a purpose and an intention to teach and learn. We hope you continue to explore many math concepts with your child in their everyday life experiences all so much for coming to our Math Night. If you were not able to make it, do not worry! We will be having several other activities like this one throughout the year.
Objectives of the week:
- Establishing and sustaining positive relationships
- Participating cooperatively and constructively in group situations
- Uses appropriate conversational and other communication skills
- Regulations own emotions and behaviors
Have a great weekend!
