- World's Fair Carnival 6pm-8pm (Earn Double NCE Time for the hours you work from 6-8! Those that stay to help with clean up will get triple time (8 - until we are done!)
- Payday!!!

Updates/Reminders
- Please add this topic to your PLC agenda for this week. We will have a short discussion about retention letters and have a plan for sending them home. Carla or Sarah will lead this discussion. Thank you!
- Please make sure you have conversations with parents prior to sending the letters home! If you are sure you will be sending one with students, begin now to let parents know. Co-teachers (ESL, EC, Reading teachers can help teachers make these calls. We don't want people surprised when they receive the letter.)
NC Checkins
- Mark your calendars, support staff...we will be doing our last round of NC Checkins for 4th and 5th graders on April 10th-12th in the mornings so please know we may need you to administer the test to a group during those days.
Report Card Grades:
- End of the 3rd nine weeks - March 29th
- Report Cards will go home the Friday we return from Spring Break!!!
- Grades will be Due to Evonne on Tuesday, April 10th at 8 am
World's Carnival Information/Map/Game Explanations:
- Please see the attached map for where the World's Carnival will be INSIDE on Friday evening!
- Some games are in classrooms. If you are signed up to work, please plan to work the game in your room! This will help to ensure that things run as they should in your classroom!

- World's Carnival Sign up - DOUBLE TIME for hours worked between 5:30 - 8:00 and triple time for clean up 8 - until. if you want to hep and earn NCE TIME, please sign up: World's Carnival Sign Up.
- 5th Grade will be hosting Shabutaso as part of the Chatham Arts in Residency next Monday and Tuesday. They will do a professional music and dance performance for Grades 3-5 (time TBA - we are thinking 8:15 on Monday morning). The 5th grade classes will then be involved in two days of arts workshops in West African drumming, dance, literature, and visual art. Each component ties either to math, literature, or social studies curriculum. We are pumped to have another year with Chatham Arts at NCE!
- Here is a link for important updates and reminders from Becky regarding World's Fair. Please take time to read them carefully. Included in this information are two important deadlines: Scavenger Hunt questions are due by Wednesday of this week. Display boards for the World's Carnival Amazing Race must be completed by Friday and brought to the media center immediately after school. Thank you so much for all the time and preparation you are putting into this event!
Location for Quarterly Planning
- We have been given a spot in a central location for this round of quarterly planning! All the sessions are in the CCSouth Building (Behind Horton Middle, immediately next to the gym. Come to the door at the top of the little paved parking lot for CSSouth) EXCEPT Kindergarten on March 28th. Kindergarten will be meeting in the Horton Professional Development Center (by the baseball field). If you have any questions, please let me know! Hope this will help with the drive! All quarterly planning sessions will begin at 8:00!
PTA Idea for Raffle/Auction:
- If you signed up for one of these ideas that PTA came up with are here, please write up a blurb and send to the PTA nikki@nicholelynnphoto.com) and they will add it to the Silent Auction.

- The PTA will refund any money that a teacher spends on this experience, up to 30.00. The normal process for requesting reimbursement will be in place.
Summer Work with the Nature Trail Tutoring Center
- Are you a certified staff member that is Interested in part time summer work at the Nature Trail Tutoring Center? See attachment below for more information and details provided from the Tutoring Center.
Chatham 360 Nominations:
- Our SLT team decided to gather more names and table the Chatham 360 selection due to an extra long agenda. Please feel free to continue adding names of potential jaguars that you feel would represent NCE well. You can find out more information about the award here. Shout Outs
Thank you to EVERYONE that jumped in and helped with our Early Dismissal on Monday! People helped in SO MANY WAYS! Way to go to Chris Sanzone for calling numbers in the freezing cold rain! We had cars all the way down Lystra!!!
Shout out to our custodians for making sure the campus was ready for students and staff early on Tuesday!
