December News - Roy B Kelley Elem
Dear Roy B Kelley Families
Can you believe that we are into December already? We have a very busy month coming up with many activities!
Just a reminder that Dec. 1st is half day because of report card grading. Also, Dec. 7th is a half day because of parent/teacher conferences and Dec. 8th students are off for a Superintendent’s Conference Day.
Our PTA has several activities planned for RBK. Make sure that you check out their section of our newsletter!
On Dec. 19th our students will be going to LHS in the morning to see Native American dancers. Permission slips will be coming home for this event.
Our last day of school before our Christmas break is Dec. 22nd. That will be pajama day here at the school! The students will have a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus and we will conclude our day with a sing a long in the gym.
As always if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me by phone or email.
Wishing you all a WONDERFUL Holiday Season!
Best,
Barbara Converso
Interim Principal, Roy B. Kelley Elementary School

Family Empowerment Center Workshop Offerings
In an effort to empower and create opportunities for students and families, the Family Empowerment Center (FEC) is a school-community “living room”, which is available to Lockport families as a space for information sharing, learning, and communication with the goal of leveraging school and community strengths to empower families and community members to support student growth and achievement. Housed on the 1st floor of the Cornerstone Arena, the center is strategically located in the city to help those who will benefit most from its use. The FEC offers a number of workshops throughout the year.
