On Tuesday, December 15th, high school athletes who normally attend 1st period athletics at PSHS will need to report to the Clark High School gym at 9:00 a.m. for study hall. Attendance will be taken at the beginning and end of the period. The “in-season” athletes (boys’ soccer, wrestling, and girls’ basketball) will be released at 10:50 a.m. to ride the shuttle to PSHS for 1st period athletics. All other 1st period athletes will remain at Clark to study for their semester exams.
Students will not meet 7th period classes on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday of next week. Since they will only have 7th period on Friday next week, the only students who will be riding the shuttle for 7th period athletics are "in-season" athletes (boys’ basketball). Shuttles will transport 7th period in-season athletes to PSHS at 1:00 on Tuesday through Friday. On Friday, during our 7th period exams, all 7th period athletes are to report to the Clark gym. Attendance will be taken at the beginning and end of the period. Please contact Coach Kailey if you have any questions regarding this schedule.

7. ATTENDANCE PROCEDURE FOR 2015-2016 SCHOOL YEAR
Reporting a student absent: A parent/guardian should call the student absence line to report a student absence. Call 469-752-7200 option 1 for English, or option 2 for Spanish, next press option 3 to leave a message. Leave the student name, ID#, reason for the absence, date of the absence and who is reporting the absence.
Parent notes: A student has up to (3) three days after an absence to turn in a parent/doctor note in order to receive an excused absence. The note should include the students name, ID number, reason and dates of the absence. A parent call does not excuse the absence.
Leaving school ill: If a student becomes ill while at school, he/she should go to the nurse's office. The nurse will contact the parents. The student and parent must then sign out at the attendance office before leaving. A student should not call/text you from their cell phone to tell you they are sick and to pick them up. Cell phone use is not allowed during class time. We have a phone available for students in the front office.
Doctor/Dental appointments: If your student must leave school early, PLEASE send a note with him/her so that he/she can be released from class. The student can sign out and wait for you in the front office. A doctor's note is required when the student returns to school. The state requires us to have a doctor's note when a student is gone for an appointment.
Other absences: Non-School activities must be pre-approved by the principal in order for the student to make up missed work. The Student Absence Request Form is available in the front office and on the Clark website in the FORMS section. The form needs to be filled out and turned in to the attendance office at least a week before the absence.
REMEMBER - NOTES CAN PREVENT UNEXCUSED ABSENCES!
8. DRESS CODE
