KINDNESS T-SHIRTS

We will be extending our "Design-a-Kindness-Tshirt" contest until April 25th so as to allow students time over April vacation to work on their designs. A template will be sent home on Monday for students to use. They may create an original design with any words/graphics that promote the theme of kindness. All designs should be in black & white.

COINS FOR COMPASSION

Our collection of donations will continue until this Friday. We will then tally all of our donations that will be used to help the children and families of Ukraine. If you would like to make any donations this last week before vacation, they will be gratefully received.

SCHOOL MOTTO

We are working to redefine PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports) for the upcoming school year. We have started by re-establishing our core values; Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe. Our next step is to develop a school motto that exemplifies who we are as a school community.

What do you think our school motto should be? Submit your family's suggestion on this GOOGLE FORM and our students will vote. Submissions are due on the Google Form by Friday, April 15th.

FIELD DAYS

We are planning to bring back one of our favorite end-of-year school events - Field Days! This event will be held in early June. The exact date will be determined soon and you will be informed. We will need to modify the event from previous years but we are really looking forward to providing this fun opportunity for our students.

As always, we need parent involvement to make this event a success. We will be sending home a volunteer sign-up notice this week. We hope that lots of you will be able to join us.

GOOD MANNERS DAY

At Page Hilltop we are very proud of our students and the many acts of kindness that they take part in each day. Last Tuesday we celebrated "good manners" in our cafeteria as we encouraged all of our students to remember to say "Please" and "Thank you" during their lunchtimes. The students were amazing (as we knew they would be). Our cafeteria staff was very appreciative.

PTO BUILD A PANTHER AND FRIEND EVENT

On Wednesday, April 6th, students and their families joined our PTO on ZOOM to build their panther or panther buddy. SPRING MCAS DATES

All parents of 3rd, 4th and 5th-grade students should have received a copy of the spring MCAS testing dates. We ask that you do your best to avoid scheduling any appointments on those dates.

Helpful Hints for a successful MCAS testing experience:

  • Children are encouraged to try their best at all times. Children should keep in mind that MCAS testing has nothing to do with their report card grades or with promotion to the next grade.
  • Parents should keep students on a typical schedule during MCAS times.
  • Students should be getting lots of good sleep during MCAS times.
  • Students should eat a good breakfast on testing days.
  • Students MUST be on time for all MCAS test days. Students arriving late for school are not allowed to enter the classroom after the test has begun at 9:00 am.
