October 14: Big Kahuna Delivery Day

October: 23: Book Character Day

From The Principal

Our Fall Break is here! Please remember that our campus and district will be closed Monday, October 7 through Friday, October 11, 2019. Our campus will reopen on Monday, October 14, at our regular time of 7:20. We hope you all enjoy a nice week off with family and friends. Maybe you can even enjoy a trip to the State Fair!

Speaking of the State Fair, your child received his/her State Fair ticket today. It should be stapled to this newsletter or your teacher's newsletter. Please do not lose it, as we do not replace lost tickets. Hopefully, you can enjoy the State Fair one day during our Fall Break!

Thank you again for partnering with us! It's going to be a great 2nd 6 weeks of school!

Perfect Attendance Incentives

Life School Red Oak would like to encourage our students to be in attendance each day to make sure they can “Ready to Learn, Ready to Lead, Ready for Life.” We will hold a drawing at the end of each month for all students that have perfect attendance for that month. Students must have perfect attendance during the month, no absences, tardies, or early checkouts. There will be a prize for students that are in Kindergarten thru 3rd grade and a prize for students in 4th grade thru 6th grade. The prize winners will be announced during morning announcements and we will contact the parents/guardians to come by the office to pick up the prizes. Please see Pages 3-4 of the Student Handbook for the Attendance guidelines.

Prize for October: Wireless Earbuds

When you are ready to lead, you work with others towards a goal by knowing the problem and creating a solution. You know how to work in a group and everyone is able to work together to complete the task. Your words and actions are supportive of the team. By doing these things, you are using the leader attribute, collaborative.

This weeks I will statement:

“I will collaborate with others to accomplish a task and be supportive of the group.”

This week we are spotlighting the University of Texas. The Longhorns are located in our state capital of Austin. This large campus of 51,000 has degree plans in Law, Business and Medicine. Go to for more info.
