Westview Weekly
Success for all, whatever it takes!
Issue 19: December 14-18, 2015
Good morning, and happy Monday!
We hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable weekend as you prepared for the week ahead.
As many of you have heard, Nolan Elliott Harmon made his arrival yesterday, Sunday, December 14. He is absolutely adorable from the photo posted on Facebook. Christmas will be a little sweeter this year, congratulations Laura & Brandyn!
Many exciting and fun events taking place this week. With these events and activities comes anticipation and excitement for the Winter Break that is quickly approaching. This is a great time to review those GRR! expectations and practice our routines and procedures as needed.
Please remain flexible as we may be pulling students to finish any make-up assessments that need to happen before Winter Break.
As you go about your week, please don't hesitate to ask any questions that may arise or for any extra help that may be needed.
Have a great Monday and a wonderful week!

Assessment Season
Assessment Season is coming to a close, however, with make-ups and the finishing of testing can be a stressful time for all involved. Please feel free to make adjustments to your daily and RTI schedules as needed to make this busy time work for you and your students.
Developmental Reading Assessment - Students in kindergarten and 1st grade have been busy taking the DRA. Teachers have been busy celebrating improvements with their students, and we can't wait to celebrate many more this week.
Scholastic Reading Inventory - Students in grades 2-5 have been taking the SRI. After looking at classroom and grade level data over the weekend, there is a lot to celebrate with our most recent data. Lots of gains being made across all grade levels!
If you are still needing to sign up for a time in the lab, or for a set of iPads, you can sign up here:
