A Note From Mrs. Waters
We did lots of extra reading this week because it was READ week. There was DEAR (drop everything and read) time everyday! Also, everyday we had a special guest reader. Ask your child who all came to our class to read.
Next week we will be beginning a new writing unit: opinion writing. Attached you will find the parent letter. To start off the unit, we would like your child to wear their favorite outfit on Sunday, which could even be their PJs or PE clothes. They will need to orally explain why it is their favorite outfit. Please send in their PE clothes in backpacks, and they will change into them right before PE. On Monday, we would then like your child to bring to school their favorite stuffed animal. They will then begin writing why it's their favorite.
Joan would like to thank everyone for donating to the Friendship Festival basket. With your help she has put together a very nice basket that you can see at the Friendship Festival next Friday. She says it looks amazing and knows it will be a hit.
