Movie Making for Beginners!
Making a Movie - What You Should Use!
For this assignment, you will be of recording a video and playing it for the class. Even if you don't have your own device to film your presentation, we have iPads in the library learning commons that you can borrow to record your presentation. You can also borrow a tripod or green screen if you feel that you will need them to make your public service announcement. Many of these apps have great editing features and can help you make your presentation look really professional. Below are the options that you can use for filming.
Touchcast Studio
Touchcast Studio is a great option for those who really want to go the extra mile and be creative with their assignment. This is a great app to use if you want to incorporate the use of a green screen so you have the option of changing backgrounds and adding in clips to enhance your public service announcements. It does take a bit of practice to use, but the results are amazing!
iMovie
iMovie is an app that many students who have an Apple device are familiar with. It's very easy to use and you can add in great sound effects. It also has the trailer feature that can be a great tool when making a short video announcement and it is extremely easy to edit.

Spark Video
Spark Video is probably the easiest of the three apps to use but it has the least amount of special effects. That does not mean you cannot make a great video using Spark Video. It allows you to combine still pictures and video into a visually appealing final product. It also allows you to add text and sound effects.
