From Mrs. Davis

Can you believe we only have 5 more weeks of school? This year is flying by, and we still have so much to learn! Our students and teachers are working HARD! Yes, we do have a few state assessments coming up, but most importantly, we have LIFE coming up! We are learning how to be lifelong learners by setting goals and working hard. That is the most important thing we can learn!

I hope everyone has a fun Easter Break!

Counselor's Corner

We will have a pizza party to culminate the Project Vinatta/No Place for Hate coalition. It will be our last meeting for the 2018-2019 school year. We have had a productive and enjoyable year with your children! Thank you for supporting your child’s participation in our coalition. Mrs. Coffey and Mrs. Gumbert will provide food and drinks for the party.

A huge thank you to Dr. Lofton for coordinating the Easter ham project. We were able to gift hams to 10 LVIS students and their families. We truly appreciate Hill Country Community Ministries, who donated the hams. Have an enjoyable and restful 3 day weekend.

5th grade Families

Middle School transition is right around the corner! Let’s partner to be sure that your child feels prepared for the move to 6th grade.

It's your first week of school...can you open your locker?

In the coming weeks, we will work to able to open combination locks. Having the knowledge to open locks will alleviate some student stress, in the first days of 6th grade. I have locks to practice with but we do have an online option as well: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/269108/

Here are printable directions for opening combination locks:
