Winter Season Class Celebrations
Oakview & Red Bank Generosity Month
December is the month to practice the character trait of "Generosity." It is always fun to find ways to celebrate the positive qualities of our students. This month, we would like to invite all our families to participate in our annual #UnSelfieOVRB project to show our community the huge amount of generosity found within our youngest learners. Please refer to the link below to learn more about this wonderful learning opportunity.
Reminder of Quarantine Update
To the West Deptford Community:
I hope that everyone is enjoying the Holiday season. We are excited to see our students enjoying all of the activities around the district. I would like to share some information about some procedure changes.
I wanted to send an update since our county has entered the Orange on the COVID-19 Activity Level Index (CALI) Score. This week, I had the opportunity to discuss quarantine procedures with other Superintendents in Gloucester County and representatives from the Gloucester County Department of Health. Over the past few weeks, we all have been very concerned about the large number of quarantines and their impact on our student instruction. We have been advised by the Department of Health that all districts are struggling with the issue, but that they highly recommend we continue to follow the same quarantine guidelines and recommendations as we have been to date.
As we recognize the significant impact quarantines have on student education, we are modifying our procedures. To this point, we have maximized procedures for instruction, but with the rising CALI scores and the potential for high numbers of quarantines, we want to do everything we can to continue in-person instruction for as many students as possible. At this time, we will be implementing additional safety procedures to minimize quarantines. We do not expect major changes, but small changes that will hopefully help our students to stay both safe and in the classroom.
We will continue to do everything that we can to deliver the high-quality education that we expect here in West Deptford, while keeping students and staff as safe as possible.
In an effort to collect some statistical data regarding our student population, we have created a vaccination status survey for students. The survey is completely voluntary; however, we ask that willing parents please complete the form linked below for each child within the West Deptford School District.

Questions can be directed to your child’s principal. Please have an enjoyable and safe Holiday.
Thank you,
