Words of Wisdom

A Good Thing

Life is never fair, and perhaps it is a good thing for most of us that it is not.
~ Oscar Wilde

We've all heard the expression, "life isn't fair" haven't we? What a tough lesson that is though — particularly for a young person with less life practice. As adults, we understand that even when something seems unfair and we don't get what we want, or what we feel we've earned, we can work through it and perhaps even learn from it. Persevering through "unfairness" and coming out on the other side of adversity is a life skill worth sharing. Not getting what you wanted, but instead gaining the wisdom that only a hard life experience has shown us, can sometimes be a good thing.

With something to think about . . .
