George Whitefield

In 1739, British minister George Whitefield made the second of his seven trips to America. On this visit he held revivals from Georgia to New England. Whitefield became one of the most popular ministers of the great awakening. Because of Whitefield, thousands of colonists found new faith in Christianity. In other words, he lead the Great Awakening. He was also cross-eyed.


Burnt marshmallow (Death)

His time of death is September 30, 1770. He got buried under Old South Presbyterian Church in a crypt where he wanted to be in the first place. John Wesley preached at his funeral.
