Impact and Influence
The CCA Football team created a new event for homecoming week this year. Players emailed teachers in the district to thank them for being an educator that has made a "great Impact and Influence on them during their time as a CCA student."
The teachers were invited to the High School this afternoon to be recognized and have their photo taken with the football player. The athlete gave the teacher their away jersey to wear or display on Friday. Superintendent Dr. Seymour, Coach Haddy and Jackson Schmidt addressed the athletes and educators and thanked them for the influence they have made on these students lives for today and tomorrow.

District Equity Initiatives
The District hired Angelica Brothers as the first district Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Culture at the start of the 2021-2022 school year to work with staff and students to cultivate our schools into an equitable education institution. One of the initiatives Angelica Brothers started was the Educational Equity Committee (EEC).
In January 19, 2022, The school board unanimously approved the Educational Equity Committee. Angelica Brothers serves as the committee chairperson, with Jennifer Mooney and Jennifer Downes as board liaisons. The committee has eleven members consisting of community members and staff with representation from each attendance center.
The ad hoc committee aims to gain insight and feedback from district stakeholders, review district programs, promote positive intergroup relations within the community, and provide support in promoting multicultural-gender fair approaches. EEC members serve as liaisons between the community and the school district.
Within the first three meetings, the committee reviewed district resources for inclusive language, disaggregated data from the district’s climate survey, and identified potential community resources.
The committee meets on the first Monday of each month. All meetings and agendas are posted on the board calendar.
