Safety in the School
Parents, Families, Guardians:
Due to the recent events regarding safety, I wanted to follow up with some safety reminders. Should an emergency situation ever arise while school is in session, we want you to be aware that the School District has made preparations to respond effectively.
We have and will continue to practice safety drills such as lockout, lockdown, fire, and tornado drills frequently with the students. When a lockout or a lockdown is used, the school will communicate with families as soon as information is clear and the threat of an emergency has completely passed. If you have questions or concerns about the emergency or safety plans, please ask by emailing, calling, or reaching out via ClassDojo.
Lastly, reviewing the idea with our students "if you see something, say something" will help in emergency situations.
Thank you for your support and for choosing Whittier. We are honored to work with your children everyday.
