Lower Grades Fieldwork Update
Dear Lower Grades Families,
Here are some photo highlights from our first Expeditionary Thursday of the year. Students had a great day out in the field and were able to connect their learning back to the classroom last week.
As a reminder of what they studied, 6th graders were at Prospect Park studying how organisms adapt to their environment. 7th graders were at the American Museum of Natural History analyzing artifacts that give them insight into the rise of the Aztec Empire. 8th graders were in lower Manhattan on a walking tour that explored how NYC was both a major slave port and stronghold for African culture and the abolitionist movement.
Stay tuned for more information about our next day of field work on October 26th.
