Ms. Hess and Mrs. Baxter

Class News 2 - 18 - 2016

Sickness rocked the school this week. One day we had 20% of our students gone with an illness of some type. Please remind students to wash hands with warm soapy water, to keep themselves hydrated by drinking plenty of water and not to share drinking cups. We are sanitizing and reminding at school also. Thank you for your help in controlling germs :)

Please refer to the parent handbook for rules about when to keep students home.

Contributions for the Family Fun Night baskets are still needed. Mrs. Baxter's class is Movie Night and First Aide and Ms. Hess is Nerf and Candy Craze. Please consider donating if you have not already.

In Science, we were busy finding out about leaf parts and classification. Our larvae are getting huge and metamorphosis will be taking over soon! In Reading, we read about opinions with tap and bottled water to point out the author's point of view. In Math, we are using order of operations to complete expressions. In Writing, we are composing book recommendations for the library.

We have our Art and Science Night set up for Monday, March 14th. We will set up on Sunday and then show our talent on Monday. Students can start putting together their talents in the area of art and science! See the flier in your student's Friday folder.

Our trip to the Capitol and the Museum have been set for Friday, April 15th. This day all students will need to have a sack lunch. Also we will not be getting back from the trip until about 4:30pm. We wanted to give you the date and a few details. More information to come!
