Feedback from Peers - Classroom Visits
Students presenting a slide presentation about their bookclub book, Grammar studies and individual conferences with students, math workshop, differentiated math group working with Ms.Brady and other groups quietly working from Must- Do /May -Do lists, Great choice board for kiddos! I love the bookclub slideshows and I would love to see students build and present to the class. I would like to set up Monster Math and other fun options for student choice during math workshop. I signed up for NoRedInk and want to have Mrs. Hammer help me get that linked to my Reading class on Canvas. I have noticed that "gamification" and competition motivates the kiddos and makes their learning fun. I love to see them excited and invested in their learning!
I observed a lesson on context clues. I really like her reading notebooks with the many focus areas in them. I also really liked her distress board that they could go color at. She also had a lot of good anchor charts.
I observed the students working on different types of sentences. I also saw them using a program called No Red Ink. I think I will sign my students up for this. I also like how she list her rotations on the SMART board.
I observed the students reviewing Show Me MO by playing Kahoots. I loved hearing all of the positive reinforcements. In between reviewing and another activity for the PBL the students got to do a brain break that was a lot of fun (flossing).
*Flexible seating and how to use it by students selecting their "assigned" spot to keep for a week or two to avoid student conflicts.
