A message from Principal Owens
Thank you to everyone for sending your First Day packet forms back to school. It is super important that we receive this information back (especially clinic and office cards) so we have current contact info and medical info on file. If you haven't sent your forms back to school, please do so as soon as possible.
Thank you so much for your continued support in following our arrival and dismissal procedures. This has definitely helped to keep our car lines moving in the mornings and afternoons. Just a couple of friendly reminders about arrival and dismissal...
- Students should have their belongings packed up and ready when they exit the car in the mornings.
- Breakfast is served from 8:15-8:40 a.m. every morning. If your child would like breakfast, please be sure they arrive at 8:15 a.m. so they have time to eat before the school day begins.
- The student day is 8:45-2:55, students are expected to be in school from bell to bell. Please try to schedule appointments outside of the school day so students do not lose valuable instructional time
We hope you had a restful weekend! Just a reminder that there is no school on Monday as it is Labor Day. We look forward to seeing everyone bright, early and on time Tuesday morning.
School Advisory Council
Each Florida school must have a SAC. This requirement fits well with Pinellas County public schools since our district always has encouraged parent and teacher participation in strategic planning. As required, each SAC includes the principal and an "appropriately balanced" number of "stakeholders." These stakeholders are individuals representative of the ethnic, racial, and economic makeup of a given school's community. Each SAC is responsible for strategic planning for the school improvement plan for its school. The organization works jointly with the principal and staff after analyzing relevant data.
Would you like to serve on our School Advisory Council (SAC) for the 2021-2022 year? We will be meeting on September 17th, Friday morning at 7:50 am. If you are interested, please complete the Microsoft Form below. All forms must be received no later than 3pm Monday, September 13th.
