COLINA MIDDLE SCHOOL
A California Gold Ribbon School
Events Coming Up This Week
Dear Colina Parents
Last week, students were introduced to the Sandy Hook Promise by participating in a school wide assembly to recognize the importance of connectedness and empowering students to START WITH HELLO. Looking forward and continuing this message, Colina’s Kind Club has just started which is a place where students can positively impact our campus climate and culture, if your student is interested please have them connect with Mrs. Stone in room 43 (meetings are held at lunch). With September winding down, October brings National Bullying Prevention Month and two important assemblies (one parent night 10/1 and one school assembly 10/2) with Brooks Gibbs so please mark your calendars.
Help keep our students safe during pick up/drop off!
Cell phones should not be accessed during pick up/drop off time.
Be sure to utilize the crosswalk on Hillcrest. Two experienced crossing guards are available to assist parents and students. When coming onto campus, only use the sidewalks and crosswalk. Do not cut across the parking lots.

Colina PTSA DIRECT DONATION
Colina PTSA and school administration is working hard to provide an incredible middle school experience for every student and we can't accomplish this without your support. We've made a commitment not to engage in magazine drives/wrapping paper drives where nearly 40% of proceeds go to a company vs directly to our students and their classrooms. If you haven't yet had the chance to participate in PTSA's Direct Donation, please click the attachment; support levels can start at $1 a day! Thank you all who have already contributed to making middle school a great experience full of great motivation assemblies, socials, dances, renaissance rewards and so much more!
