Great Job Staffing the 2017 UIL Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest!
As always, the students of AEB surpassed expectations and represented themselves with class, dignity, and excellence!
Band Auditions Conclude Tuesday, May 30th
Band students in 5th or 6th period will be able to complete the audition during their class time. All other students should come by before or after school. If you are taking a class during 5th or 6th period in which you finish the final early, see if your teacher will let you come to the band hall and audition.
Band Placements Posted Tuesday Evening or Wednesday
Students who are selected for placement in the Fall 2017 Wind Symphony will be expected to perform at Akins Graduation on Saturday, June 3rd. Two scheduled rehearsals will be required for all performers.
Local Natives Project Dates/Times To Be Announced Soon
We are estimating that the filming will happen sometime during the week of June 13th through June 20th. All will be welcome to participate...we need as many as we can get.

- 6:30am - Band Hall Opens
- 7:00am - Load Busses
- 7:30am - Depart Akins HS
- 8:00am - Arrive at Frank Erwin Center
- 9:00am - Graduation Ceremony Begins
- 12:00pm - Estimated End Time of Ceremony
- 1:30pm - Estimated Return to Akins HS
