HSE International Festival !!!
The AMAZING annual HSE International Festival will be held on Saturday, November 16 from 11:00 a.m. - 2 p.m. This is an inspirational event that showcases the tapestry of cultures that make up our HSE family. There will be country booths where you can eat your way around the world, cultural performances from students and staff, carnival games, vendor booths, and a silent auction of baskets prepared by each homeroom. Here are some of the ways you can participate:
Silent Auction Baskets
Silent Auction baskets are prepared by each homeroom as a fundraiser for that particular teacher. The Homeroom parent will contact you with details about items they would like added to the basket. Donations are the best way to raise money consider asking businesses you frequent, friends or family if they can help make your class basket the best! The teacher will definitely appreciate the money it raises for the classroom. Clilck here for the Donation Letter that can be given to businesses
Country Booths
Each year we ask families to sponsor a country booth to highlight the myriad of cultures that make up HSE. Country Booths will be set up in the cafeteria, and those attending the festival will walk "around the world" as they visit each booth, sample food/drinks, and learn about each country. If you would like to sponsor a booth, please fill out the attached Booth Application. Please drop off your form in the PTO box in the school lobby. Click here for a Booth Application Form
Performances
Students and staff are also encouraged to present cultural performances. I-Fest goers love settling in for the performance portion of the afternoon. If your student or a group you know would like to perform at I-Fest this year, please submit a Performance Application. Performances can be solo or group performances. Additional information is on the attached form. Please drop off your form in the PTO box in the school lobby. Click here for a Perfomance Form
Vendor Booths
If you are interested in or know of a friend or family member who might like having a vendor spot at the school to display and sell their various products or items, please share the form with them as well. The vendor spots are limited to one from each company so have them get the forms in as soon as possible. Please drop off your form in the PTO box in the school lobby. Click here for a Vendor Application Form
Go to I-Fest
The last and easiest way to help with I-Fest is to attend the festival. Come out and visit the vendor booths, and most importantly, bid on our Silent Auction baskets! More details to come on how to purchase tickets. Country booths will only accept tickets to trade for food and drink items. Make sure you get enough tickets for everyone to eat their way around the world. Also, All-You-Can-Play wristbands are available for the Carnival of games.
We are so excited about this year's event and hope that everyone can make it support our wonderful school! If you have any questions about how you can volunteer, email hsepto@gmail.com.

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF Campaign!!!
Hello from the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) club from Harmony School of Advancement (HSA)! UNICEF provides aid to millions of children through immunizations, education, health care, nutrition, safe water and sanitation, and emergency relief in over 190 countries. Our club specifically focuses on educating, advocating, and fundraising on behalf of UNICEF.
One of our annual projects is the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign, where we equip children with donation boxes. The kids then spend the whole month of October collecting as much change as they can. The money they raise go on to sustain — and even save — the lives of other children around the globe; the campaign urges children to help children.
We believed that this campaign would serve as an amazing opportunity for students to gain a broader perspective about the world outside their own, and to understand the impact they may have. For those reasons, we partnered with Harmony School of Excellence to begin this program with the students of that school. Last week, your children should have received a Trick or Treat for UNICEF box after the short presentation we gave them at school. Our wish is that as parents, you all help your children and work together to make a difference in others’ lives. We will be back to collect the boxes mid-November. We thank you all and Harmony School of Excellence for their cooperation and support.
