Week of February 20th - February 24th
Time to Hit Our Targets!
We have had a week full of learning fun! But February is coming to a close - so it's time to revisit our learning targets for this time of year.
Parents, you will soon have access to your child's progress reports on Skyward. Please take the time to review these and reach out to your teachers with questions. A good rule of thumb is to remember that a 3 mark means your child has met the standard for that learning target. A 2 would then be that your child is still working toward that goal. And lastly, a 1 means that your child is significantly needing help with this learning goal. If you notice a 1 - please reach out if your teacher hasn't already has met with you. We can work together to get your child on track faster.
Another thing to be aware of is your child's current reading level. At this time of year, your child should be reading at a DRA level 24 or above. If your child is below or significantly below this level, they need some additional reading and word practice at home. Please be sure you are aware of your child's reading level and again, reach out with any questions or concerns.
Don't forget that we are off Monday! So we plan to see everyone back for another fun week of learning next Tuesday.
